The Craniosacral System includes 22 bones of the skull, the brain, and membranes surrounding the brain, spinal cord, sacrum /coccyx. Within this membranes is the cerebrospinal fluid. 

Both, Da Vinci & Michaelangelo called this fluid, "rivers of life", and they called this space, the "home of the soul". They believed that this fluid that runs from the cerebral ventricles down along the spinal cord was the source of vital energy and provided information and wisdom to our bodies. 

St. Teresa de Avila, in her book Interior Castle says; "How then, can the superior part of the soul, remain undisturbed if it resides in the upper part of the brain?"
